DailyUI 006/007 – User Profile/Settings

Few days late on this post so I’m combining two of the challenges into one.

6th challenge was a user profile. Whatever that means. So I took the chance of doing some self-promoting, because I couldn’t be creative enough in what to do in it.

The profile picture is what I use on most social medias, and the header image is a photo I took a few years back of frozen leaves with a sunset shining through them. One of my favourite photos. As for the information written, it was really hard to know what to put there. So I put the traits that I feel most confident about, as well as pimp my social media links.

There are no self-made icons this time. The social media icons are a ready made font so they wouldn’t look off. Font used is Roboto as I felt it fit most.

Next up was a settings screen of some sort. Straight off the bat I felt like not doing a normal settings page, as that would be too vanilla and boring. As coffee was on my mind, I figured, why not make a “setting your coffee” type of page. It’s still some sort of settings and it doesn’t stick to being too standard.

The coffee mug is completely made from scratch with different layers to it. The way I made it was very inefficient, so I couldn’t get the exact look and effect I wanted, but it gets the point across. One thing I noticed afterwards was that the top dashed line is slightly more nudged to the right than the bottom one.

I started out with just having the big steam emerging from the cup. But since the amount of coffee in the illustration reflects your choice of size, I wanted the steam to reflect the intensity chosen. That’s how the intensity icons were born as well. But after this I kind of blanked, and just called it a day.

Font chosen here is again Roboto, as I felt this could have been an app feature more than anything.

That’s it. Peace.
